What cookies and browser storage are
A cookie is a small file a site can store in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, let a site keep small pieces of information on your device. They can be strictly necessary, functional, analytical or advertising in nature. This policy covers cookies and comparable browser storage used by this website.
What this site uses
The public website is built to be light on storage: - it does not run analytics or marketing tracking scripts; - it does not set advertising cookies; - it does not sell or share browsing data for advertising.
The storage that is used falls into strictly necessary and functional categories described below. Your language is carried in the page address rather than in a tracking cookie.
Strictly necessary storage
Signed in admin and staff areas use a session mechanism that keeps you logged in and protects the forms you submit against cross site request forgery. This storage is strictly necessary: without it the secure area cannot function. It is not used for advertising and does not track public visitors, because the public booking site does not require you to log in.
Functional storage
Some features use browser local storage for a limited functional purpose, so an interactive page can remember short lived state on your device while you use it. This storage stays on your device, is used only to make the feature work, and is not a cross site advertising identifier. Installing the site as an app enables an offline capable service worker described below.
Service worker and notifications
The site can install a service worker to support an app like experience. It caches only non sensitive static assets, such as icons and an offline page, and it does not cache the booking interface or the secure admin area. Push notifications are an optional feature for signed in admins and staff who enable them on their own device; the public booking flow does not send push notifications.
Third party payment provider
When you pay, the card step is handled by the payment provider Stripe. That provider may set its own strictly necessary and fraud prevention cookies within its payment flow, under its own cookie and privacy information. The Operator does not use that flow to advertise to you.
Managing storage in your browser
Because the public site uses only strictly necessary and functional storage, there is no advertising consent banner to manage. You can still control storage in your browser: you can clear cookies and local storage, block them, or use private browsing. Blocking strictly necessary storage in the signed in admin area will stop that secure area from working. Clearing functional storage simply resets the short lived state a feature remembered.
Legal basis
Strictly necessary storage is used on the basis of the Operator's legitimate interest in providing a working and secure service, and it does not require consent. Because the public site uses no analytics or advertising storage, no consent for such purposes is requested. If the Operator ever introduces non essential storage that requires consent, it will ask for consent first and update this policy.
Updates and contact
The Operator may update this Cookie Policy when the service changes. Material changes are published here with an updated date. For questions about cookies or browser storage, contact the Operator using the details above. See the Privacy Policy for how personal data is processed more generally.
